The McLaren’s P2 Ceramic Coating is an exclusive, professional grade, single stage Ceramic Coating

  • * McLaren’s P2 Ceramic Coating can only be applied by authorized professionals.
    * McLaren’s P2 Ceramic Coating products must be used in a well ventilated area.
    * Always use protection gloves when applying McLaren’s P2 Ceramic Coating.
    * McLaren’s P2 Ceramic Coating must be applied in a clean, dry and controlled environment. This
    product cannot be applied outdoor or under direct sunlight.
    * McLaren’s P2 Ceramic Coating should be applied in an ambient temperature above 5°C and no higher than 40°C. This temperature range also applies to the surface temperature of the vehicle.

    For a minimum of 24 hours following the application, avoid exposing the vehicle to temperatures
    outside of these parameters.

    Before applying your coating deconaminate your paint, polish if needed & use a panel prep spray prior to coating application.

    1. On a clean application pad, carefully pour the McLaren P2 Ceramic Coating until it is wet,
    but not dripping.

    2. When applying the McLaren P2 Ceramic Coating, always work one panel at a time. Apply the coating on areas of 4 square foot at a time. Make sure to apply horizontally, then vertically, for an even coverage of the surface. (cross-hatch technique).

    3. Once the coating is applied, the area should look wet and you should be able to see a
    rainbow effect after approximately 2 - 3 minutes.

    4. After a minimum of 3 minutes, but not exceeding 5 minutes, when you see the rainbow
    effect appear, gently buff the areas that have been coated until a uniform and streak free
    appearance is achieved on the surface.

    5. Repeat the process on the remaining areas of the vehicle to be coated.

    6. Once the first coat is applied on all the desired surfaces, let the product sit between 30 minutes to an hour.

    7. Following the panel order used during the application of the first coat, apply a second coaton all the previously coated surfaces.

    8. Let the product dry for a minimum of two hours before delivering the vehicle.

    9. The total curing time of the McLaren P2 Ceramic Coating is 72 hours. During this period, we recommend not washing the car and avoiding exposing it to any chemicals.
